Well, I would like to let everyone know that the HCD inspection completed last month with Mike Garrity and me following Dennis the inspector around the part. Dennis stated that the entire park deserves a gold star and added that her rarely finds a park with very few violations but our park fell into that category. Our main clubhouse, maintenance shop, laundry room, and record keeping procedures had no violations at all. The only violation he identified for the park was about 20 homes that did not have a pole in the driveway area to protect the gas and electric meters. Mike and Rod have already completed installing the poles, so that has been taken care of. The main items Dennis found on individual homes were extension cords on the outside, interior electrical outlets on the outsides of homes, damaged awning supports, and a few places that need steps and hand rails where there weren’t any. So congratulations on doing such a great job keeping up your homes. When the notices come out you will have some time to complete the violations before you are fined by HCD. I have been telling the park ahead of time to get rid of the exterior extension cords and to replace the damaged awning supports. Hopefully, by the time you read this, Mike and Rod will have the bathrooms and showers completed. They ran into a few problems that were not included in the bid; due to improper maintenance in the past, the walls around the showers had rotted out and needed to be replaced before the wall board could be installed.
