Manager’s Message – March 2013

The new television has been purchased for the clubhouse. Everyone who attended the Super Bowl Party really enjoyed watching the big screen. Mike has been busy running all the wiring so it is hidden from view. Good job, Mike, as I know it is a lot of hard work drilling all the holes and routing all the wires. Now all we need to do is get one controller to manager the TV, Receiver, VCR, and Sound and it will be completed. I am not trying to be selfish with the controls but am keeping them in the office until we get the TV on one or two controllers. Otherwise someone will some in and play with the controller and really mess things up.

The Department of Housing and Community Development has sent our park a notice that they will be inspecting sometime in the near future. They have included notices that I am to send them when residents fail to comply with their inspection notices. Mike and I will probably be inspecting the park as soon as the weather starts getting warmer and summer is starting.  With the new HCD notices it looks like they will be going after the Mobile Home Park residents that fail to comply with their inspection notices. They will be sending a notice to each resident on an individual basis to their home address. Those who do not comply can face some heavy fines if they fail to comply. I think these inspections are revenue driven but who knows maybe a lot of parks are having a hard time getting their residents to comply with inspection notices. I would prefer to handle our non compliance issues internally but now it looks like all Mobile Home Parks must comply with the new HCD guidelines. So I am asking all residents to comply with the park inspections this year as I really don’t want to see our residents get a heavy fine for non-compliance.

By the time you read this the new Board of Directors that you elected have met for the first time. I am looking forward to working with them to continue improving the appearance of our Mobile Home Park. We still have a way to go but it continues to improve a little more each year. I would like to thank everyone for the priledge of being your manager and for all your support.

– Larry
