Manager’s Message – October 2013

I would like to thank all of the residents who are continuing to fix up their mobile homes in the park. We are getting a lot of people looking in the park who have been watching us for the last 2 or 3 years and now want to live here. I know that we are starting to get a few residents moving into the park and also some who have lived here that are putting in new mobile homes. In a way it is kind of sad to see the older mobile homes leave but they are in such bad shape that the cost of rebuilding them is about the same as putting in a new coach. The Board of Directors and Don Holmes our CFO have done a great job of managing the park reserves over the past few years and except for one major project, which is the streets and curbs, we are done with the large expenses in the park. There are still a few things such as new street signs, water valves and such, but those will not cost a lot of money to get done. It has been a pleasure being your manager for the last 7 years and as long as my health holds out I would like to continue in this position. I know there are a few residents who would like me to step down but on the other side there are more residents who really appreciate the work that has been done in the park. I really hope that when I do step down that the next manager continues to keep the park looking nice since we have worked so hard to get it where it is. Thank you for all your continued support as it has been a real experience. I know that everyone is looking forward to the Pumpkin Weighing Contest, thanks to Tom Solarsick. It should be a record for the park. I think the last one was 274 lbs. Good Luck. Pay your $1 and guess the weight at the office.
