Wow! I can’t believe it is February already. We just had Christmas. What a Christmas light contest we had this year. The winner for 2013 was La Paloma. They had 23 homes with lights on for Christmas Eve. La Paz was second with 21 and my street Palomar Real had 20. This is the first time that I can remember that each street had at least 20 homes. El Paseo did a great job as well and I counted one home for each of the other streets so El Paseo’s lights did get in on the count. We had a great Christmas light contest. I have to tell everyone that Palomar Real will be back next year to win big time! We will be having our annual Super Bowl party at the clubhouse again this year so bring something to share and something to drink and come and cheer for your favorite team. Unfortunately, Pat Hughes jinxed my team again this year so my team didn’t make it. I want to welcome the new board members and look forward to working with you this year to continue making our park better than the year before. We are very blessed to be able to live in a community that can basically run itself. We don’t have a lot of outside problems that affect our park. I want to thank all of the residents for continuing to improve your homes and landscaping as it really does improve our property values. I have received a lot of compliments on the improvements that the park is making. Let’s continue to keep it going in 2014.
